Join the SkillsUSA Arizona Board of Directors and have a role in shaping the organization's mission and vision, advise the Arizona Department of Education's management of the organization, and oversee the financial well-being of the organization.
The following positions are open:
- Advisor Representative (High School), Region 2
Positions will be elected and announced in July, with the first meeting of the board of directors to take place in the fall.
Requirements for all positions:
- Travel to and attend four board meetings a year, with some in person and some virtual.
- Travel to and attend the SkillsUSA Fall Leadership Conference (September) and State Leadership & Skills Conference (April).
- Support and attend other SkillsUSA events as needed.
- May not serve as a SkillsUSA Arizona contract or payroll employee during term of service.
Requirements for select positions:
- Advisor Representative (College/Postsecondary): Must be a currently registered member of the college/postsecondary division of SkillsUSA Arizona.
- Advisor Representative (High School): Must be a currently registered profesional member of the high school division of SkillsUSA Arizona in the region they are applying to.
- Alumni Representative: Must be a formerly registered student member of SkillsUSA.
- Business and Industry Representative: Must be an employee and authorized representative of an organization that supports SkillsUSA Arizona and its programs. Support can include monetary, in-kind, or other contributions such as volunteer time or advocacy.
